The two founders of the PKK were commemorated in Diyarbakir, Turkey

While peace talks continue between the leader of the imprisoned Kurdish armed organization Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) Abdullah Ocalan and the Turkish state, the two founders of the PKK, Riza Altun and Ali Haydar Kaytan, were commemorated in a ceremony held in Sheikh Said Square in Diyarbakir, attended by thousands of people. It was announced that Kaytan died in 2018, and Altun died in 2019.
